I am a progressive atheist -- raised Catholic but turned away from religion as a teenager. I believe that at its basic level, life is simply about survival. My survival, your survival and most importantly survival of humanity. Of course, we can each make our as rewarding as we choose. I found the site searching for thoughtful discussion on the survival of humanity. And no, I am not a survivalist. I want to find ways to encourage solutions to our challenges, not prepare for an end.
