I am an artist and philosopher. I paint under the name of Yishkah. I live on Land for Wildlife in Victoria, Australia. In September of last year I had an exhibition of my work at the Leo Baeck Centre in Melbourne. Twenty paintings depicted portions of the Torah which, for me said something about myself and my relation to state of the world. The picture below is called Exodus and it signifies a split in the human order. I almost called the painting Going Nowhere, but somehow Exodus was more personal because like many people I know, I feel as though I have lived much of my life in exile.
